I have just found a water leak from a small hole in the external steel casing of my Zilmet EV.
Please see the attached image:
The EV has been placed horizontally on the ground between the hot water tank and the (edit: System) boiler for approx. 2 years.
I have no idea how the EV steel casing could have got punctured in this position...Has anyone come across this type of problem before? And what's the likely cause?
I assume replacing the Zilmet EV is the solution. Is this something that needs to be done urgently for safety reasons? Are there any quick work-arounds to help provide hot water whilst I get the EV replaced. And I will appreciated any guidance/links to a straight-forward step-by-step guide for replacing an EV.
Many thanks in advance
