Hi Rudolph, we were really worried about you, (not)
Anyway, why don't the Muslims allow images of their beloved Mohammed) (they used to allow images of him in times long ago) And,, if they don't allow images of him, how then do they name their children after him? You ever been to a Muslim house and seen family photographs on the wall? Next time ask who's that in the photo? and I bet the answer is, "That is Mohammed" Yeah double standards.

Another point, you ask do any of us know Muslims who don't tolerate other religions? Well if you watch the news on tv, you'll see plenty of them who don't even tolerate sects of their own religion (sunni vs shia) Tolerant? my ar*e.

I think it is a ridiculous thing to ban images of anybody, and I think religions in general are too- but your name/photo analogy is not logical at all.

And seeing people on TV is not the same as personally knowing them. I personally see a lot of the same images on the media, but the Muslims I know seem to be run of the mill people , but Muslim.

The following article was written a few years ago, but is highly pertinent to the Paris shootings (not least as it references the Danish and Norweigan cartoons). It discusses the root course of terrorism, as basically it isn't just Islamic religions, but Thar cultures.

It also warns that we run the risk of going down that road ourselves.

A very interesting read.

Excellent - thank you.

It would probably provide plentiful fuel for a prolonged debate among academics - certainly, I do not know whether there is a grain of truth in it - but, in any case, it is a very persuasive article.

Hitchens was always worth a read - always good to hear reasoned arguments even when you don't agree with it all.

A big loss to Reason .

Pat Condell is still alive and well. His Youtube videos show the ROP mentality for what it is.

reindeer may need smelling salts, so just for him, viewer caution is advised. In fact, the first video could even relate to his choosing to be offended - except for him, it's on someone else's behalf.

I realise that these vids may be too near to the truth, and as such may magically disappear.

He doesn't seem the type that would have a tractor. Unless he wants to help french militant farmers blockade UK produce.
The froggies have form in that area.
And then keep the blocade in place illegally for several years after other countries have already ended the restrictions.

Isn't it usually the case that the greatest enthusiasts for multiculturalism choose to live as far away from the affects of it as possible, and as such are totally immune from the fallout. The term 'nimby' was invented for these hypocrites.

Three I have posted in the past have been deleted by the cowardly mods, I assume after complaints from the apologists on this site.

Fair's fair - RH (if taken at his word) is a good example of multi-culturalism - he does live in another country, after all.

Yes, perhaps we shouldn't be so enthusiastic about UKIP. If they have their way, we would probably have to take RH back. Let's hear it for an open-door emigration policy!
