Have you a link where to purchase pls Breezer. :D

...............But first of all you need to get clicky and make it up, it does need soldering, but it does come with instructions.

maplin also sell soldering irons and solder.

The IC's (some call them chips, but they are not) which are easily destroyed by the heat from a soldering iron, have sockets you solder in first so no worries there.

(some call them chips, but they are not).
The term hails from the early days when the Integrated Circuit was still young and looked like a small chip(from the wafer) inside the larger package that one handles.

Interesting to see you saying they are not chips. I understand micro chip is the trade name for PIC's? (Programmable integrated circuit) and we call those made by other firms chips in the same way as we call computers not made by IBM PC's or carpet cleaners Hover's

Hey Bacho

What do you think of these?

The hammer is to give you some idea of scale. I got them from a contractor a long time ago, they are 230 volt edison screw lamps. They used to hang on the wall in my sons bedroom and i wired them in to the centre light and they had a three gang switch to control them, used as a night light and general amusement for his mates for years but he's grown out of them now.

Think i still have the mounting bracket for them.

If they are the sort of thing your after you can have them.

Well done with the ciggies by btw...

Get my email address from my profile and send me your postal address.

It shouldn't cost much to send them (they are pretty light) and you can refund me when they arrive. Hope he gets as much enjoyment out of them as my son did :D

Nice kitchen tiling.

It is for a 5 yr old? thought it had to be battery operated, those traffic lights are mains rated.

Unless you are going to convert them to a safer voltage i'd be a bit apprehensive of a 5 yr old playing with light switches with 230v across them.

At the very least get them switched by relays so that your littleun is only switching say 12v or less, I'd recommend SSR's controlled at 3 or 5v.

Theyd need to be quite robust switches as they are bound to get some abuse.

or you still need a controller for them, but they are nice,

how about fix thm to the wall?
