Gerrard to escape clink....

I

imamartian

.... but they'll probably sting him with a huge £2k fine..... so justice has been done.

Oh and Liverpool FC seem to support violence in bars... or at least they're saying they're fully supporting Gezza in what he did?!!!

(oh and i don't stand by anything i typed above, as i don't know the exact details of what happened.... and i don't want to get my ass sued!! ;) )

so how do you know exactly what he has done and exactly what punishment he will get?

I have to say on the face of it i dont think liverpool fc worded their statement of support very well

pointless post then really!

by what measure? yours? well maybe... but that is not the internationally accepted standard. How about a new years resolution for you, not to be quite so disrespectful of others' views..... ?

We'll have to wait and see, but I am sure that getting involved in a fight instead of setting an example for those who may look up to him, will be insignificant to his employers when he could be earning some points on the pitch.

by the measure of common sense. try using that before you stoop to insults. pot to kettle

steven gerrard is one of the games best role models, he has never got into any trouble before and untill this is all over, maybe people shouldnt judge.

What? - not Even the Police, who have fully investigated the incident and decided there is a case to answer. Not a fine Role Model in my book.

thats my point, but i think the club coming out and saying theyll give him whatever support he needs to get through it, just doesnt sound right

He should be treated in the same way that anyone is treated. I believe he is of previous good character. I would even go as far as to say that it is possible due to his fame that he receives unwanted attention from time to time (that's not to say that I think footballers, are a bunch of overpaid morons) So it would seem that a non custodial sentence would be correct.

Of course his club will support him!! They're a business, they don't want their assets being banged up now do they!
