Maths Question

Stand your wood, round or square, in an old basin, fill with concrete and leave to set. Remove the wood, turn the block upside down, re- insert the wooden upright and you'll have a solid bird feeder support with having to do the maths.

ah but do the calculations take into account the expansion and contraction of the wood?

just get a bit of wood roughly the right size and smack it in with a hammer!

Throw the base away and just make a cross foot out of timber. Oh and while you're at it.... give your Doris a back hander for speaking without being spoken to.

good old northerner talking! 8)

I could put my tuppence worth in but it would be pointless :D

So that's 100/8 = 12.5: uhurrrrrrr  somehow, you've made a side longer than the hypotenuse teehee.

Daaahhh

Diameter divided by 2 then square root (not half again as I thought)

So 100 divided by 2 = 50, then square root = 7.07

Yeah I remember that one ... dead easy design, but it was a nightmare getting it through planning and then with the young BCO

The brickwork was subbed out to a guy from staffs, and it looks like there is a course of pig. But its hard to tell :?
