Which Boiler??

I don't agree that Viessman are any better than most

They are better than most.

and Baxi's quality is debatable. ATAG have a good reputation but I am no expert on them. The broag-remeha is good value but the quality is no better than average and certainly not better than the Vaillants.

Vaillant is not better quality than Broag - they share many of the same components. Broag are also a better design, especially in the control system. They also have integrated waether compensation as standard. No contest.

So tell me bigbull**** you state broag are better than vaillant, have you worked on them both?

Of course not because you are an unqualified brochure flicker and cut & paste merchant.

Apart from the 400 series, which we all know is old hat, name some parts that Broag shares with the 600 and 800 series then.

I'll save you some time googling, naff all

Wondered when grandad would turn up. Damn nurses not keeping an eye on him again obviously!
Broag, good well priced boilers...but NOT better than vaillant, stop talking nonsense. You proved time again that you know nothing about vaillants and yet you appear to hate them. I guess things you don't understand are a bit scary for you ;)
Weather compensation-useful, improved control and weather compensation, however complicated for alot of people and customers rarely grasp the idea or what its doing. Energy savings debatable, not enough independent research.
Viesmann?? really, are we talking the 100s here? the ones that are falling down every 5 mins? soon see who here actually works with boilers!
If your posts weren't so ridiculous it might be annoying, but as it is it provides ample amusement
;) keep it up grandpa

Bigwaterdrivel, please enlighten us as to what heating system you have in Drburnersystems towers then.

Vaillant are ****e you plick. De germans are no good at building anything these days.

Sounds like it, or at least one who has forgotten to take his medication of late

I really do wish there was a UK manufacturer who made a decent and reliable boiler, but as there isn't I will continue to fit Dutch or German boilers

I agree it is a shame that the british products are low tech and low quality in comparison. :(

I'd buy british if it were as good even if it was (slightly) more expensive.

We had someone in to give a quote and he told us they fit Worcester purely because there are British made, and he admitted that Vaillant is better than Worcester they just don't recommend them because they are German!

We have quite a few German things:

Volkswagen.
Siemens oven.
Siemens dishwasher.
Bosch Washing machine.
Vaillant boiler.
Miele vacuum.

Although I would say that Worcester and Vaillant are about neck and neck in reliability... I have fitted a fair few Worcesters. I would say that Vaillant are easier to work on if it does develop a problem as everything is reasonably easy to get at through the front of the boiler, and if I am the guy who fitted it, then my customers will call me to repair it, it pays to make life easy for myself.

I still find myself wondering about fitting the odd Baxi now and then... the current models do appear to be nice little boilers at a reasonable price..

The key to a long lived boiler is correct installation..

My VW service manager got pinned to the wall by his throat over faults with my VW van
My BMW got chopped for something Japanese and reliable
Must admit that my Bosch washing machine has only needed a new set of motor brushes in 14 years but my NEFF oven can easily be switched to auto clean instead of grill if you are not careful, and this really makes a mess of lamb chops
