Just need to know the best way to insulate single skin brick walls.
The walls are 100mm single skin red brick walls and externally have recently been rendered. Now I need to insulate internally and finish.
I contacted Celotex and they suggested fitting foil backed boards directly to the walls with 2 x 1 battens mechanically across the face of them and then platerboard fitted to the battens.
I am wondering if this would be the ideal way?
I was originally thinking about a studwork wall with a small cavity between it and the brick, then cut the celotex to fit in the stud wall.
any suggestions?
