Bay Window Single Skinned Wall

Hi

I have a bay window upstairs and downstairs in my house, but the upstairs is a single skinned wall beneath it, I therefore get mold from the condensation building up there.

I want to try and insulate it and was thinking of making a timber frame and lining with celotex or something.

My question is though what can I cover the framing with, would normally be plasterboard but as it is a curve I believe this will be difficult, any ideas??

Any other pointers would be much appreciated

quite a simple solution , just cut the back of the plasterboard every 2" top to bottom and it will go into a curve,

is it a n old house ? tongue and grove cladding might look OK and could probably be curved around ?

leave the plasterboard over something of a similar radius or just lent against a wall in a garage or covered outside area for a day or two, it will soon bend to shape.

Is it definitely a brick wall? Ours has a timber frame wall with roof tiles clad on the outside.

Yes it is a brick wall, I have asked neighbours about theirs.

Good idea about leaving plaster board like this

Go for it, don't forget the floorspace.

Did this on a house in Derby in the early 90s - it HALVED the gas bill.
