[I have been quoted £600 by Scottish Gas for a Powerflush and istallation of MagnaClean. He assures me it is an "all day" job any remarks would be welcome :

If that's a real price than it's obscene. It's highly unlikely to be more than a couple of hours work.

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't notice the part about a powerflush, I only noticed the mention of a magnaclean. The price seems reasonable, it is a full days work. A local firm may do it for 30% less.

yea warranty for the lifetime of the homecare contract. Flush with magnaclean is usually £695

the price is very high .
i worked for British Gas for 20 years . you should be able to get the same job done for half the price .

They must be on a sales boost I now know of 3 other people quoted the same price,trouble here is trying to get a tradesman to do the job at a decent price and guarentees, not far off ScotGas price[/b]
