Hi,
I was looking at the adjustable Ratchet Wrench which allows you to use the wrench as ratchet therefore turning nuts without taking off the wrench from the nut. But i am wondering are these any good or just a gimmick?

I'm not sure what you mean?

Are you on about a ratchet spanner like this?

Unless you like spanner rash, I would stick with the correct close fitting spanner, be, it ring, or open ended.

I'd definatly stick with a selection of maybe 5 common sized spanners and then a normal adjustable for all the odd ball sizes.

Never used one but would think its probably a bit of a gimmick, although depends on your intended use

I wish i could manage with 5 "common sized" spanners and an adjustable if only car maintenance was that simple lol

i had one of the socket type ones and it was ok for jobs that didnt need a lot of force , never used the shifting one , got a ring spanner adjustable from the sates years ago and that was also useful up to about 17mm

I tried a search on youtube. It's opened up a whole new world of spanners to me. the problem is that they show them turning well oiled nuts and bolts. not sure how they'd perform under real pressure.
