full bore isolating valves

hi,just brought two 15mm full bore isolating and noticed they do not have flow direction arrows.is this not critical on these or should they be a certain way round with regards to water flow,many thanks
 
common practice that the handle should fall to the off regardless of if used on gas,steam,water.
