Hi there,
I am just knocking an opening for some french doors at the moment and we are planning on lighting for the exterior. We will be having a lantern type light outside on either side of the french doors (not with PIR) with a 1 gang switch on the inside to control it and I was wondering on the best way to wire it.
The switch will be inside to one side of the door. The switch is being used as loop in / loop out, rather than having a ceiling JB as its a flat roof. This switch is actually the last one on the lighting circuit, so there will not be a live out from the switch. Would it be best practice to have two cables coming from the wall switch to each light, or to loop it from one exterior light to other, or bury a maintenance free JB in ceiling void?
Also, on a separate question we have another security PIR light outside which is rusting and needs replacing. Has anyone used the energy efficient security lights, and are they any good for PIR lighting?
Thanks
