I used to repair the tills and backoffice in Asda, just after it was taken over by Walmart, and you had to ring up the US, I think it was Bentonville? to sign off certain jobs, in the UK, and they had a long winded automated phone system, press 1 for this, 2 for that, then another long list...then another...

But there was one menu, that you got to and it said 'Press 7 to hear a cow moo', 'Press 8 to hear a sheep baa', and if you did...it did!

Yes - I got one last Saturday. Didn't look at it till I got home. A quick check through and it went in the bin. Some of Asda's prices have gone beserk recently - and some of them are really weird. See:- 200gm jar of coffee £4. 300gm jar £4. Or 100gm bag of hazelnuts £1.42; 200gm bag £1.48

This booklet is known as Green Book 1, same one? First page, save £2 on a takeaway,prawns,£1, then shampoo, save, 1.50 ????

Saw this in Asda this morning. Packs of sausages £1.98 each - Buy 2 for £4...... :P

I wonder how many got caught out by that.

Most would assume the offer would be cheaper.

Cheers

No-one got caught out. They always charge the lesser amount. By law. This happens as the policy is to change price tickets that are going up in price before you do it on the system. This was probably in preparation for them them to increase the per each price. to 2.20 quid.[/img]
