BG slapped notice on boiler in 1980s flat.

Ok lets say it one last time for the forum clown:

Nobody here knows what the fault was, so to make the assumption that every flat must have the same fault make you look simple.....

Can you now see that you have made a bit of an error?

I hope so, cos I can't think of a more basic way to describe it!

Let's assume it was a block of Council flats - would it still be kept a secret? Or would all the flats be checked?

That red nose of yours is getting redder. :P

Joe 90 S**t for brains!!!

if it was a council block the same contractor would be responsible for every flat THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO PRIVATELY OWNED PROPERTY

now GO AWAY and plague the Securtiy forum!!

what? you mean that Council flats that could get checked every year?

Ive seen mine get serviced every year by the council it's amazing what can be done without taking the cover off

Glad I have bought my own place now and can have my boiler done properly

I as a RGI don't know what the reason for the AR notice was. You as an electrician IIRC wouldn't understand anyway.

If one tyre on you car/van needed replacing as it was dangerous, would you throw the other four away?

Hurry up and reply , I'm getting bored already :(

No but I'd sure as hell check them - wouldn't you?

good for you?

Would be if I didnt need to rewire, replace the kitchen, install a downstairs bathroom, relocate the boiler, fit floor, strip walls, build stud wall, paint and more than likely something else

Sorry didn't realise buying a property was a crime

Yeah, you got me there

But unlike my tyres, I don't own or have responsibilty for all the other flats, which is all the others have been trying to tell you.

All I'm suggesting is that some agency be notified that investigate if other people are at risk in other flats. Is that a crime?

no, but the RGI dont need to do it because it is not needed. it is the householder responsibility to get there stuff check every year not RGI to chase them to do it

if you feel like it joe, you can write to everybody.

Joe - you really dont understand do you?

I dont go around telling other trades how do their job, i suggest you do the same.

So cars should never be recalled then as faults should be identified by the driver?
