fitting 2 gang chrome dimmer to a 30mm back box?

Can't seem to find a suitable slimline switch, is there such a thing as a wall spacer to make one fit and if so anyone got a link to one?

The pic shows a 2-gang spacer but its a 1gang.

IMO it will look pants behind a metal fitting. Better to chase out and put a deeper box in.

no not with new decoration. Ill sort it some other way..

If you do it carefully you won't disturb anything.

But maybe next time you decorate you'll consider these things first.

maybe i will, but i didnt at my last house and it was fine because whoever built it did not fit silly small back boxes...

Unfortunately, 16mm is generally the norm. Sometimes you see 25mm. The 35mm or sometimes more required for flat plate dimmers is rarely seen.

Get yourself a sharp knife and a small cold chisel, you'll be done in no time.
