hi all,please can anyone give me the approx age for this boiler.
vokera 20/80 rs turbo.
this is in a property i am interested in buying,the agent says its a modern boiler as it has an energy saving badge on the control panel.

Mid to late 80's.Good boiler but now well past their sell by date.They preceeded the Flowmatic.

By saying that you risk upsetting DP as thats his favourite model which he claims will outlast currently sold boilers if regularly and properly serviced.

Not as energy efficient as the currently sold condensing boilers but probably only about 12% less.

OP, boiler is quite old, but certainly will not be what you are being told. Fan is on short supply, boiler shares a lot of parts with Flowmatic (another great boiler).

Boiler will certainly needs a proper service as there will be bits that will be troublesome if boiler has been neglected (as they often are when under s 'service contract')

You may want to start a boiler account that will then pay for repairs on this boiler and also help towards purchase of new replacement boiler.

So, DP, are you saying that ALL parts are still available? and perhaps more pertinent to the OP's reason for enquiry, are they likely to be so for a reasonable period?
