My local news programmes (London area) need to employ a few white people to reflect the fact that there are still a few of us left.

They constantly hone in on non-white stories, art, music, sport and always, always, interview a non-white first on any news item.

I was just wondering if this is the same throughout the UK or is it just that London has more than it's fair share of foreigners?

Maybe they are the best applicants for the post. That is all thats counts.

57% of the London population is white British, so chances are there will be news stories from London that dont involve White British people.

Up until the early 80s, I used to enjoy visiting London, and used to feel safe in most parts. I used to travel all over by bus and tube, day and night. Wouldn't do that now. However, London is another country now. I have an aunt in Wood Green, which seems OK, but there are many areas that now seem to be no-go. I'm visiting her later in the year, must remember to get my jabs before going there.

As for TV in rest of UK, the south west local news is still quite caucasian, but we still have to have 'one by law'. Bristol isn't overly multi cultural, but the balance is changing gradually.

That's the BBC for you. Recruits from the Guardian where all the left wing PC brigade are to be found.

Though this is a GD forum, it is unusual for anything mentioning ethnic minorites to be deleted at the request of the forums own PC muppet, you all know who that is, don't you?

Have you ever noticed that when the BBC cover a school story, if they go into a classroom for a report, it is always a class of 75% coloured and about25% white kids. No matter what part of the country they are they are filming in.

No...

There was a black kid on south park named "token black".

I wonder if NOTW will automatically reduce the volumes of supply to stores this weekend, anticipating the lack of demand. Having said that, with half the adverts, the paper will be half the thickness!

Fortunately they are the minority, idiots usually are.
