On an average Horse race, the over round is 117%. Unless your willing to follow 4 strict rules, calculate a system to ensure you can make an average of 17% over a given time span (a month for example) and know your sport (if that what your gambling on) inside out you'll never make a bean.
The biggest bet I have ever made was £17000, and won just £5585 profit. Thats when your 4 rules have to be followed.

Misterdubya.....thats some gamble 17k...the only time I gamble is for fun...when I go the races,national,derby ect and I expect to lose .....but its only a flutter and I enjoy it................I have only 2 vices and this is one of them

Put it this way, (say yor a footie fan), San Marino are playing Spain. You may bet 7-1 ON for Spain to win. Stick 14 large on it, and your a couple of grand better off. It was not as straight cut as that, but it was a no brianer at the time and a more complicated bet. Never bet what you cant afford to lose. Carefully calculate your odds too if your trying to make money.

I know the lads down the pub went to the bookies at half time and bet against the winners @ half time and got 14-1, with a joint bet of 400 quid
Because sometimes you can walk away from the casino several hundred pounds up! Granted, not often.
Not only that, it is a good night out at the casino, I dont go as often as I used to, but it is a good laugh.
Dont forget you are not only putting a pound on 7, you will be covering several numbers
