Tradesman's dilemma..

  • Thread starter Thread starter imamartian
  • Start date Start date
date function on excel. I was not born on the 16th  :D :D :D
Copy/paste this =TODAY()-DATEVALUE("24/9/2011") and change yesterday's date for your DOB.

But you probably knnow this already

This is an interesting thread, especially if you link it with the other one that the op has posted regarding what his plans are for today (prepping a room for decoration).

A conclusion that may be drawn is that Mrs Martian has decided to employ a tradesman to decorate a room, much to the annoyance of Mr Martian who intends to tell the aforementioned tradesman to sling his hook and do it himself  Thus Mr Martian is testing the water on here

either that or

Mrs Martian had contacted a decorator to do the wallpapering,
the decorator contacted by Mrs Martian just so happened to be Mr Martian, who turned up at his own house to do work, the man of the house (Mr Martian) then realised that he could do this work himself and is now considering having an argument with himself!

A far more likely scenario indeed, and I retract my initial musings :)

I go along with this also.
I wonder if Immy got a slap as the decorator left?

Can't comment on the head's outburst, but the fact that you were sent to schools must mean that you were CRB checked and cleared :D

That's one heck of a leap of faith. You don't need a CRB check to work on computers. You may not even need a CRB check to work in schools, per se. You may not need it to work with children while being supervised. You do need it to work unsupervised with children.

To clarify, as other posts that I made refer to this; was also in the security market. So definately CRB, and other checks cleared. What an idiot! You DO need a CRB check to work in schools. Grow up, learn a little, and get a life. Maybe? Try it, you might like it, rather than being an ignorant thread troll? It pays more.

Yawn
My original post was not an attack on you MM, rather an attempt to clarify the, what I thought, was a misleading post by someone else. But as you see it as an attack on yourself, such is your nature, I will respond.
I was wondering whether to respond or to hit the alert button for your abuse, hmmm.
I've never used the alert button for abuse before, so I don't think I'll start now. You, on the other hand, use the alert button every time you lose the arument, so, go on, request a deletion.

You really should check your facts before posting tripe, MM.

You do need a CRB check to work, unsupervised, with children. You do not need a CRB check to work in schools, per se.

So you worked in the security market, what, selling battery-powered personal alarms?

Perhaps, with your experience as a researcher, you'll be able to find a reliable link that indicates someone needs a CRB check to work in a school.

Edit: I thought I'd better edit a silly spelling mistake, before MM pounces on it with glee, in a silly attempt to divert the attention away from the point of the discussion.

Your the one trolling here.
You do not automatically need a CRB to work in schools. I am in the security trade, I have never needed a CRB for schools or institutions where children either attend or are incarcerated. That includes special needs schools when doing fire and access control.
You do need checks for other items though, but I doubt you`ll be working at any MOD or other military sites English or not.

Anyone who feels the need to declare on a public forum that they have had a CRB check and been cleared, surely has an inferiority complex. Not to mention his paranoia.

Moody's done it all.

Seen it, done it, loved it, lost it, smoked it, drank it, flew it, sh*gged it.......

There is simply no limit to this blokes experience.
In actual fact there's only one thing he hasn't mastered and that's getting his abusive girlfriend un-banned. :D

I'm sorry I mentioned the CRB check aspect at all now. It was a bit mischievous but I didn't expect such a fallout over it.
PS - I have been CRB cleared

  It's not your fault, even though you might be suffering the inferiority problem. Now you've got the guilt complex  Maybe it's what happens when you reincarnate. I know, I used to be plain old RedHerring!
