Hi All

I am shopping for spur sockets. The decent ones to match with my switches and sockets (brushed stainless steel effect) costing £25 to £45. According to my sparky fella I should be going for fused type. This is to power low voltage transformers for under cabinet lighting. Why are these so expansive. Are they something special. Is there an alternative.

Unfortunately your statement doesn't make any sense. No such thing as spur sockets and if there were I don't believe they are any bigger than the normal socket  . The only socket I know that has a fuse in is this one...

Perhaps you need to speak to your sparky friend and get him to explain exactly what he wants you to buy or better still let him buy and fit them for you.

I think you mean Fused connection unit?
