Cutting in

No confusion Emily, he (elrobbo) (just so you can keep up) knows who i am talking about and thats all that matters.
With the greatest respect, you are mistaken. I agree that regulars know perfectly well what you're on about (and are probably just a tad bored by your little joke, if truth were told) , but what is OP to make of your (to him) obscure reference to the advice of someone who has apparently not posted in his thread?

The op has successfully received several good pieces of advice to help him (the op) understand how to achieve better cutting in, and this post is far more confused by your deliberate awkwardness, you're clearly cleverer than that.
Which post would that be, then?

You have an excellent understanding and application of the English language, however remember this is a decorating forum and you are not amongst your contemporaires so you are proving very little.
Thanks for the compliment - and for the laugh! My 'contemporaires'? Ils sont tous morts, sans doute. No, actually, you are all my contemporaries...I'm not really Emily Bronte (she died in 1848). I'm alive now and so are you (I assume?) Sorry to disappoint.

Or did you mean something else?

Him what to do. He's not stupid ya know.

No, you didn't. Assuming 'him' is OP (and not elrobbo/dcdec in the post immediately before your last one), you merely told him what to use, not what to do with it.

Don't treat people like they are idiots. I gave him the right info without the waffle.
Something of an overreaction. The problem with giving people 'the right info' from your point of view is that it may not make much sense from theirs. Seeing things from the learner's perspective makes the difference between being able to teach them something useful and just thinking you have.

It's also pretty arrogant to dismiss everyone else's advice as 'waffle'. If I were to label much of what you write in the General Discussion Forum as the b*ll*cks I think it is, I'd probably be banned!

I am inclining to the view that there are a couple of forum members posting under more than one username. I expect joe90, dc dec and The Dec know exactly what I am talking about.

Yes - you keep coming back with a new name.

Yes - you keep coming back with a new name.

No - I've come back ONCE with a new name and with the blessing of the forum admin.!

You, on the other hand...?

And let me have a guess at the first letter of your first username B

Dec
Correct. It was no secret. I even came on the forum and asked how to change it and explained why I wanted to. It was no big deal.

It is however against the spirit of a forum (as I understand it) for one individual to pretend they are several different ones by posting under more than one username at the same time. It's a form of dishonesty and I hope it's jumped on.

Oh, so your not THE Emily Bronte, i am such an ignoramous, i really thought thats who you were, didnt she right those Harry Potter books?

You seem to be the only one that can't keep up so you keep trying and i'll keep posting and please feel free to point out anything you don't understand, after all you are rather good at it.

Talking of banned you do have some experience though don't you Bradley?
