Liar .............

some of you lot need to take a reality check...

Here's two lists...

Shooting
hitting on the head with a hammer
blowing up with dynamite
running over in a car
pushing off a cliff

or

slapping on the arm
kneeing their leg and giving a deadled
slapping their a**e
flicking with a tea towel
biting their finger 'til it bleeds

Which list do you put "shoving"?

no one cared to answer this !!

90 has shown that martian is stretching the truth. 90 kicks ass.

Which list do you think PC Harwood would put "Shoving" into?
Here's a clue,,, it won't be the second list.

Marty, please stop trying to defend the indefensible So far you've said it was a simple push. You've said Ian Tomlinson was guilty (of what I don't know) You've said he was a possible rioter. You've said Harwood was only doing his job (when he clearly wasn't , he should have been guarding a police van)
Every step of the way, you've painted Tomlinson as a thug, rioter, troublemaker, drunkard. You have maintained Harwood was only doing his job in difficult circumstances. Heck I reckon you'd probably put Harwood in the Armed Response Unit and give him a fookin medal as well as a gun. When really he should be found guilty of manslaughter, for a cowardly attack on a defenceless , innocent man.
Now please desist from this nonsense .
When justice prevails (as it surely will) I hope you respect the jury's verdict, instead of harping on and on about how an innocent policeman has gone to prison.

You've added more spin to my comments then the Editor of the News of the World !!!

I stated clearly that my comments weren't based on any "track record" of Harwood. And did i "state" Tomlinson was guilty? not sure...
But what i maintain is...that when London ( and other cities) were under attack from rioting mobs - as was the case... a police cordon that "shoves" someone who seems to be resisting the police line's objective - to walk in a particular direction.... then a "shove" is really not extreme, let alone attempted murder !!

JJ it seems you must've been 'wronged' by the police in the past to explain your extreme views !!

IMAM, you and LMB have a view on it. Us realists have a different view. Personally, (and I have a well balanced view IMO) think that the Officer used extreme force. I care not for his past.

Ive been on the end of police actions many times - and agreed with them mostly. Being knocked out at 14 in Coventry by an officer on a horse after a Villa game when I was belligerent was a bit harsh, but I woke up and went home. In the 80's we got on with it.

The officer gave me chances, I was a twat.....

This mistake of a human 'been' was a bully boy and I agree with Mr. 90. No chance... whack the bloke..... every action has a reaction. I bet Mr Plod aint sleeping too well.

What scares me is you lot don't just see a PC with history (allegedly) as a problem... you see "reasonable force that ends in unfortunate circumstance" as a PROBLEM..... we need the fooking police there...

I don't think Tomlinson did much wrong really... but a shove = killer?!!! really? no !! even from a coper with history !!!

You lot are trying to undermine what keeps us safe !!! think about it !!

Martian
Very strangely we seem to be on the same side on this one.

When the streets of this country turn out like a scene from 'Escape from New York' ....All these boys will be complaining the Police weren't tough enough.

You can't win.

I'm a realist and i've spoken to coppers - after speeding, or going the wrong way during a demo and they were all great...

you said you were belligerent...??!!! case closed !

The coppers have a job to do ffs !! i don't want a belligerent 14yr old kicking off when i'm in town with my kids !!!

Re-read that. If you still believe thats true you live a bubble in rural Derbyshire. I keep my family safe - we have no need for the gabbers here.

LMB, i'm liking the temporary armistice between us..
