Unfortunately looks as if you may need an account to get trade prices. I would give em a call.
So their trade price for an MFT is £35, down from £86 list?

That's what I claim. Or is it a lie to make myself an Internet forum hero? to recieve all the glory that will bring me.
Have you rang them? opened an account?
Tell you what when my MFT is recalibrated I will post and tell you how much it was.

Just wanted to clarify, as that's way less than any figure I've ever seen.

What's their price for individual instruments? Is there a minimum quantity needed to get those prices - i.e. can anybody open an account and get those prices for one test, or do they only get down that low for large customers with lots to test?

We send a seward supernova P.a.t , megger mft , 2 x martindale volt lamps, and a proving unit.
The invoice is broken down into individual prices. I do not know if we get a bulk discount. I have recieved various promotional literature over the years for calibration all around £35 pound mark I always took this as a 'standard ' fee. Never really looked at it before and am genuinely suprised at £89.00 quoted figures.

Avensis tourer. It's a lease first ever 'new' motor though
Phoned a few of aforementioned calibration companies single unit price £55+

Martindale volt lamps and proving unit?

Wouldn't have thought that was necessary.

Anyway - I'll open an account, unless they want me to be a company, get them to price on the basis of 2 MFTs and 3 individuals - they aren't to know it won't be every year...

Call me an old cynic, but I can't help wondering if, as the price for testing goes down, the likelihood of repairs being needed goes up.

Interesting theory. The supernova needed a £389.00 repair Last calibration. Although it had had virtually no use whatsoever.

When I had mine calibrated at a CEF calibration day recently I think it cost around Stg £70 or £75 + VAT.
