Hi guys,

I'm building an extension and am approaching the top of the blockwork. The bifold doors the client has ordered are a bit bigger than originally expected and it looks like we'll have to have 2 courses of bricks on top instead of the expected 3 and a split level of blocks across the top.

The problem I have is the lintel required needs to be about 4500mm long (4575 seems to be the closest) but only 150mm high to allow 2 courses of bricks to joist height and I can't find one!

Does anyone know where I can get such a thing or maybe there is an alternative type of lintel?

You will most likely need to have a beam fabricated with a welded plate to take the outer course, specced-up by an S.E.
