Land of the free and...

Clearly not.. I wonder if he turns around and flees if someone is walking towards him holding a hammer.

I assume you know the difference between a hammer and a loaded gun.

I think you're survival instinct needs honing a little.

I think your paranoia needs blunting a little.

If seeing armed strangers walking towards me on the street and feeling threatened makes me paranoid, Ill stay as I am I think.

So, you'd just go wandering around that area of Texas unarmed?

Yes, I do. I also know they're both capable of turning your brain into a mess on the side of the road.

Why would anyone need to explain why they felt threatened to see a man armed to the teeth walking towards them?
Anyone who doesn't feel threatened in that situation isn't all there.[/quote]

Doesn't take a lot to scare sooey.

We already know that the sentence in bold applies to you noraid.

Here's a simple one for you: Which is more out of place walking down the side of a road in an unpopulated area in the middle of Texas: A man with a rifle, or a man with a hammer?

So, you'd just go wandering around that area of Texas unarmed?

Where did I say that, where did I say I'd go wandering around in Texas at all come to that?

Yes, I do. I also know they're both capable of turning your brain into a mess on the side of the road.

So is a brick, but you can run away fom a man with a brick or a hammer who decides all of a sudden to go loopy. Not so easy to do that from a man with a gun unless you can move faster than Norcon when the pigsh*t needs shovelling.

So, you'd just go wandering around that area of Texas unarmed?

Where did I say that, where did I say I'd go wandering around in Texas at all come to that?

Where did I imply you said that? I was simply asking if you believe it's reasonable to go wandering around an area like that unarmed.

I wouldn't know, but I know which one I would feel more intimidated by, don't you?

The hammer would make me curious as to what he was doing wandering around the middle of bum**** nowhere with a hammer. The rifle would just have me wondering what he was doing wandering around the middle of bum**** nowhere.

Neither one would intimidate me.

Oh, dear.

Well, you enjoy your nice city life, where all you have to worry about is being stabbed by someone after your wallet. The rest of the world is slightly different, and hasn't been educated to cower and cry when they see things they don't like.

Like I said the police officer in the video who disarmed the idiot has a lot more experience of Texas, and people bearing guns in Texas than you will ever have. He stated very clearly that he felt threatened, but of course you know better from the safety of your chair behind your computer screen.

I don't give a **** what he said ON CAMERA after making a move he did not need to make.

I just slightly pity you for being so afraid of life.

I take it you also completely agree with those dickheads when they say they're exempt from the law?

How was he to know he didn't need to make that move? how do YOU know?
The man was very reasonable and righteously affronted when confronted by armed police officers, how do you know he isn't some nut job who was actually planning to walk into the next town and start spraying until the police intervened. Short answer, you don't.
I take it you also completely agree with those dickheads when they say they're exempt from the law?

You take it wrong, but that doesn't surprise me.
