People who say "i would not eat my dog", have never been hungry to the point where their life is in danger.

If it was a toss-up between the dog and hunger, the dog would go every time.

During the seige of Leningrad (Russia) in the second world war starvation was common place. Someone commented that they saw dogs eating the perished corpses of victims of hunger. One survivor said this statement was rubbish because ALL the animals had been eaten and there were no dogs left alive. Or cats or rats or birds anything else edible.

It wasn't long before gangs of cannibals roamed the streets looking for 'food'.

Tosh.

Some people kill and eat their own children when starving. What would your survival expert say about that?
Just as some will kill their dog when starving.

Would you kill and eat your own son if you were starving? Nope.
Then don't automatically think that everyone who owns a dog would kill and eat it if starving.
Because you're wrong.

You would norcon, don't give us all that rubbish.
If you were hungry enough you'd eat little baby jesus given the chance.

That dogs a hero to most people.

A walking larder to noseall.

Jeepers Norcs you are naive.

The guy (in the link) loved his dog yet he ate it after being hungry for just a few days.

You would eat the dog Norcs and savour it just like any other meal because your hunger would numb any emotions.

Don't kid yourself.

You're the one that's kidding your self.
If he had loved the dog he would have left it at home.

Ahh, but he was a clever chappie though wasn't he.

The guy had foresight and survival skills to boot. The dog was not just his companion but also his guard and his early warning system.

The wisest decision he has ever made in his life was to take that dog. And when he gets another I bet he takes that one with him too.

Clever bloke.

A real survival expert would have taken the dog out alive.

but also his guard and his early warning system

After he killed the dog where was his guard and early warning system?

He is real and a fine survival expert and other experts have corroborated this.

The guy survived for 3 months without food or shelter. Remarkable.

After he killed the dog where was his guard and early warning system?
I guess once he new he was gonna have to eat him he had to dig deep and use his instincts to survive.

And survive he did. Unbelievable.

No gun, no tracker!
No bear deterrents.

He's in the same league as treadwell. An idiot.

And should be billed for all costs incurred.

cant see myself how the dog managed to feed him for 3 months??
