I have a feeling this is an annoying question

I'm really struggling to decide on a drill, combi? driver? impact?

I'll mainly be plaster boarding to wood, putting up shelves, doors etc..

Huge thanks in advance

personally go for a combi and an impact.
but a serious note, how much will these be used?and how deep are your pockets?
reason i ask is there are a lot of lower priced gear which no doubt will do the job just aswell, something like......no i cant say it.......ok i will 'ryobi' thatll please him(he knows who he is)

 well this is a difficult question to answer.. I'm attacking a full house renovation *gulp* , but so far I've pulled a few walls down and made a mess.. I also don't even know what the different drill types do (even after reading what the different drill types do) so the drill probably won't be used much, this is a personal project and not something I do for a living (or I'd end up on rogue traders!)

Budget wise, I'd like something half decent simply because I'm stupid like that, even if I don't use it, I still want a good one. I was close to spending £200 on one. So maybe £100-£200

soz m8 i know ive added to your confusion, but as i do it for a living i can only really give you an opinion on what i use, trouble is when you start going down the professional route for tools they end up costing big bucks and a lot of my kit is bosch blue.
unless your happy to get something decent but not expensive try ebay.

Hey, It's not hard to confuse me mate

I'm in the learning process so any advice is very appreciated,

the good thing about ryobi is there are 30+ tools for the house and garden to fit the same batteries

i would start with a hammer drill and take it from there
http://www.ryobitools.com/catalog/18v_oneplus

all one plus is interchangeable so old nicad blue stuff is compatable with the li-ion green stuff

thats 10% commission to gregers :D

Another vote for Ryobi, and with any potential saving, vs. a more expensive drill, you can spend on an extra battery or another tool in the range.

Thanks very much guys.

I need to get the drill tomorrow, I'd really like a Makita as I've already started buying Makita tools (OCD)

Please, Please recommend a Makita drill and also the screws I will need to attach this plasterboard to wood studs, as I really need to get started tomorrow

Huge thanks in advance
