I would appreciate counsel from the collective wrt Worcester Bosch24SBi which today has decided not to work.

Symptoms as follows:

Room stat working
Pressure set at 1.5bar
Green mains light on
CH control panel to ON

1/ pump starts
2/ no flue fan
3/ no ignition

Checked all the normal stuff...... Anything you can suggest before I resort to my local gas safe chap ?

Many thanks

Resort to the Gas Safe chap.

Thanks for your reply.

I presume there is some kind of air pressure switch issue or knackered fan thing.

Clearly beyond my technical competence - a note a new fan is around 85 pounds - so lets see what GasSafe chappie reports. will rpoert back.

Just to close this out for future reference.............. Gas Safe chap diagnosed problem as broken flue fan. Now replaced, serviced and all working

Thanks for your help

Well it seems its not fixed after all !

It now fires up and gets hot and so do the rads

But then it turms off and fails to re-ignite despite the temperature differential between inflow and outflow from the boiler being around 4 degrees

Also once it reaches its temperature its then seems to go into a slow shut down mode where its sits and cycles until them temperature differential is so small it might decide to reignite.

Does this sound like a thermister issue ?
