Maybe time to buy a 1/2" router. Anyone suggest one, don't want to spend too much as it won't be used that often
That router is not suitable for the task.
I got my last 1/2" router from an auction when a local joinery company went t*ts up.
Decent 1/2" routers aint cheap.

Most Siverline stuff is terrible. I'd probably look for a decent second hand one on ebay.
