You couldn't make it up!

Then pay. Don't expect some people not to stand up for their rights though.

Pair of goons.

But I stand by what I said. If you had a TV connected to an antenna to enable you to legitimately watch non BBC catch up and BBC radio, (unlike the TV in that clip that was disconnected from the antenna) then they would immediately pounce on you and proclaim with glee: "You have a TV set here that is able to receive live broadcasts or BBC catch up....."

Who would pounce on you ? They are a sales agency, their sales depend on selling tv licences, they are no different to your average doorstep caller selling an unwanted service. As I said zero communication works every single time. No fuss no bother. Bin the letters or return them to sender, your choice.

Thousands of people are stiched up every year by them, they rely on fabricated evidence to get convictions as per the video. The point is if they don't have a name they cannot take a person to court, it's that simple. It's never been about evidence, they will bend and twist everything just so you buy a licence. It's a game, as I said.

One of our tenants had a visit from the TVs licensing man. He told him that they didn't have a tv and let him in to check, apparanly he went through the house mumbling "very strange" and left without saying anything else.

Some people on here thinks it's a good idea to live your life with the curtains closed and never answering the door, all for the sake of a handful of change per day!

You couldn't make it up!:ROFLMAO:

you will note i said "well good luck to anyone who thinks its worth the effort to save 40p a day"
what value do you put on the effort required for your principals ??
if the man is genuine and never watches tv in a fashion requiring a tv licence then thats fine but why does he have a aieriel cable connected to the tv and loose at the wall socket ??
i spend my time and effort helping others where i can make a difference :D

£145 is not trivial to everyone.
its not exactly trivial to me
i live on a £76 a week railway pension supplimented by the odd pin money job and my quickly diminishing savings :D
but i use the service so pay for it

A lot of people resent having to pay NI when they are not in hospital
A lot of people resent having to pay council tax when they don't use the parks or libraries
A lot of people resent having to pay for schools when they are not at school.

Unfortunately for them, most of these whingers don't have their prejudices fed by newspaper and TV media companies

Can you think of a reason why Murdoch is anti-BBC? Can you think of a reason why the Sun and the Times might be anti-BBC? Can you think of a reason why other TV companies might be anti-BBC?

Except those are necessary public services. The BBC is neither. Quite why they think they deserve £145 off everyone who watches private companies like ITV and Channel 4, so they can then give it all to Jonathan Ross, is a curious mystery.

I used to think it was worth the money not having to sit through too many advert breaks, and watching the same ad's over and over again...
But now the BBC advertise their own wares instead, so getting just as annoying.
