When England becomes independent, you can subsidise yourselves

Well we won't have to subsidise you lot in Scotland anymore as long wee jimmy krankie gets her way so it won't be a problem. LoL.

Fookin hilarious. A major player says they're keeping their factories here regardless. The government and the company both confirm there is no financial inducement. A real indication that England really has something to offer. "We are good".
Then the remainers chip in. "Bet someones paying for this". Irony is too small a word. The remainers who were happy to pay for the priviledge of staying in the EU moan like fook when some big player wants to carry on as usual without payment. Koonts.
" no financial inducement."
does not mean much it tends to mean a sweetener inducement to do something an upfront payment
there are many other ways to"cross subsidize " or "lighten the burden" its just called something else
if you ask the more direct question off "will it cost the british tax payer directly or indirectly now or in future years" you wont get a direct answer just the " no financial inducement." answer or things may change in the future as no one can tell type off answer

Get over it. England is good. There you go again. After bleating on and on about how essential it is to stay in an arrangement that costs billiions, you fabricate a story about England paying to get business when it isn't happening. You take hypocrisy to a special level. Instead of trying to jinx the future of our great country how about getting a positive and saying well done GB. Come on Blighty!!

Has the BBC article been changed since its original appearance?

I wouldn't have posted the thread with the title I wrote had this been the fourth sentence at the time.

"However, Business Secretary Greg Clark said there was "no question of financial compensation" for Nissan."
