Complete bulls hit.

there will be no federal Europe or a European army. Total bulls hit.

Partial bulls hit.
Europe is now on the up. Europe is showing the first positive economic signs since 2008.
The above quote still applies.

oh transam, your mental defect leads you into such stupidity.

You don't understand how the EU is run.

There is no prospect of Turkey joining the EU. And it has been a secular republic since Attaturk.

Are you not aware that every member of the EU (including us, for the moment) has the right to veto it?

You really should stop reading those RWR "special interest" websites.

your ignorance and stupidity are insurmountable.

Go away and study the tests that a country has to pass before being allowed membership of the EU.

Then see what progress Turkey has made in them.

so what u are saying is that u object to Turkey joining the EU then ?

and that the EU will not allow Turkey to join ?

Why is that then JD

got a problem with the question JD  hence the abuse

I think Turkey has been progressing towards joining the EU for about 25 years now, and has improved some of it's attitudes, until recently that is, but as JohnD says, any member can veto Turkeys entrance to the EU, and Cyprus will always veto their entry because Turkey invaded them.

The caveat of course, would be if the EU changed the rules, and allowed majority acceptance, and removed the veto option; now there's no reason to indicate they will, but they are known for making changes to the rules every now and then.

You may get off on that but most people have a life. Transams probably gotta walk all the way down to the garages to uncover one of his V8's, for a run tomoz, then have dinner at the house before winding up the internets three biggest losers. Plus he has a business to run. It's not like he digs holes for his families two bit firm.

So who in the EU voted against Turkey joining ???

Imho it all smells of racism ;) total disgrace imho

Perhaps Way har bee can help u out ;) send him a PM

Theres a fair few current members of the current 28 that were allowed to joun but would not have passed the tests.

And as for those in the Eurozone that couldnt comply with the economic requirements.

Turkey is going to be joining very soon, you must be misinformed. Their neighbour Iraq has also asked to join. Apparently the EU are interested as it will bring them lots of cheap oil. They are going to need it for all those EU army tanks.

I do agree that the best solution to the EU, would have been to stay within and try to reform from within. Sadly thats never been an option.

Cameron with his silver spoon

No it isn't. The rebate is deducted before any penny it sent. Then you can net off afterwards. In either case the claims were sophistry which deceived anyone who are serial believers.

The £350m per week claim has always been as ridiculous as George Osborne scaremongering instant financial ruin.

Both leave and remain campaigns were equally bad.

Boris's recent article did say, we can take back control of the £350m per week, which is semantics and political verbal carp, but it isnt an outright lie.

The membership fee is around £18 billion, we then get a discount and we then get a rebate. Net we pay around £8 billion

But for different reasons. The leave campaign was full of lies, and xenophobic bile. The remain campaign was condescending but did not go into the realm of lies and deceitfulness which the Remain campaign wallowed in. The Remain campaign was hampered by the simple fact the Government always had the means to resolve immigration but chose not to so there only real angle was to try demonise leavers.

There was never a proper debate as neither side was willing to accept it was full of rubbish. Both campaigns were run by children.

A debate by experts would have been more enlightening.

Scaremongering or just misinformed. Lets assume very soon is what time frame? Within 24 months. There is no chance Turkey will be joining within that timeframe or even 5 years.

We can get cheap oil right now, how is Iraq being part of the EU going to make that cheaper? The EU tariff I think is about 3% on oil imports.

Why do you keep on denying the truth?

An EU army is on its way -thats the real truth.

With the US straining NATO and Russia feeling more emboldened then what practical response should there be?
