This stuff any good? It looks nice and we're thinking of having it in the hallway and bedrooms, just in plain white. I've never heard of the range til I saw it on screwfix.

I have no personal experience of that range, but Schneider is a leading brand and their stuff is generally good quality.

I've found the terminal screws can strip, so the screw goes round and round meaning you get a bad connection.

Then again, the Crabtree stuff has been like that recently - again.

Don't think I've had that problem with Crabtree, you're not using an impact driver on the terminal screws are you?! Like the moron who recently returned a load of 'faulty' MCBs to the local electrical wholesalers...

Back to Schneider Lisse, are those the ones with the curved front? The curved part means there is a gap all around a connected 13A plug, so it looks like they aren't fully inserted. I couldn't stand that in my house! They also have those bloody awful square terminal holes as well. Bring back Tenby Glacier!

I had exactly this happen to me on a Hager light switch. Only on one of about 20 switches/sockets that I've installed (thanks to the previous owners of my house having a liking for various unmatching of gold faceplates).

Edit to add: Just using a normal screwdriver, and I'm a limp wristed mainly office-based wimp in my day job!

That's surprising. I've fitted literally hundreds (if not thousands) of hager accessories in the past year or so and never had a screw strip on me. They're better than MK currently IMO.

I'm really liking the look of them, and I *love* the fact all the terminals are in a straight line (although as they're replacements the previous wiring doesn't exactly take advantage of this!). Excellent value for money too.

As I say, only 1 in 20 or so, so likely just a bad one. I was surprised too, although I'm just a lowly DIYer so don't have as many as you to compare to!
