Preparing tiled floor for over laying with vinyl

Hi all
I'm planning on sprucing up my bathroom a little, part of this will be overlaying the tiled floor with vinyl. As part of this I want to fill in the gaps between tiles to give a level surface. I posted on here before about how is the best way to do this. The replying had was self leveling compound. Unfortunately I'm not overly confident in doing this, I'd prefer to use some sort of filler which I can then sand down. Is there any particular type that would be suitable for this or anything else which might be suitable?

Get a professional to level the floor. Will be a better finish that sanding down filler.

I doubt it. SLC would be much better as no screwing or SBR on the back and sides

Have used car body filler (2 part) just mix enough for what you can use and use it quickly ! it sets in minutes,try to get it in the groves neatly first time so to avoid sanding,sanding is a pain as it sets rock hard.
Could buy the cheap body filler as its not going to be seen.
Finished result was excellent with no grin through the cheap thin vinyl.

I advised you previously (last june?) & no mention was made about SLC?

As a suggestion. You could, use the SLC. And if there's any un-even areas. Damp is down and Tickle it with a flush cut blade attached to a grinder (preferably a variable speed to minimise dust)
