How many times have we heard, after lengthy court cases where acquittals and innocence prevail, and whereby fat lawyers have got rich on the back of the CPS deciding to go ahead with a prosecution even when the evidence was shouting NOooooooooooooo .

The odd thing about this case, is that Blair should really be prosecuted for misleading parliment (and the British public) more so than for the crime of "aggresion", for which Buish should really be tried for.

Public opinion was behind him at the time and that's a powerful motivator. Most people thought we were doing the right thing at that time.
Certainly, no one realised that attacking Muslim nations would have the result we have today i.e. disaffected Muslims driving lorries into innocent people in westernised nations.

For some still inexplicable reason, Bush decided to invade Iraq (some say for the oil, not so sure myself) and so dragged Blair along with him. Blair and Campbell manufactured the case for invasion, and convinced Parliament to back the war, so the war was inevitable, but was it necessary, and was it justified. On the basis of dealing with cruel and murderous dictators, why haven't Assad and Kim Jong been dealt with. You can't argue for one, without including the others.
