Hi, ive got a fairly largr garden with about 30-40 panels on each side, i want to put featheredge board infront of it because i want a seamless look ie not seeing posts between each panel.

I thought the best way would be to fix this through to the concrete posts by drilling the posts but am concerned they may break/shear and i really dont fancy digging up the posts. The guy who had my house really went to town and there is loads of concrete down there... any other suggestions please?

Any chance of a photo?
I tend to agree that drilling may weaken the posts, but how does the other side fix?
It may be easier to add to the wood

Top pic is what im aiming for ie completely seamless, bottom pic shows what ive basically got, i know it seems weird but i was going to just put the new panels attached infront if the existing with perhaps a wooden bottom board.

there should be holes in the slotted posts so you can affix a timber baton either side and bolt through then fix you rails 2 this is your best option for a seamless look (on your side)

those posts will be really hard to drill so id avoid that. other option is to drop posts inbetween the others - i.e middle of the pannel then your not digging them up .

other option - you can get clips that will hold a batton the the front of post, but your far better using option a if you want an easy quicker fix .

just remove a panel and check you have a hole top and bottom on the inside of slot
