The plumber has used flexible hoses to connect up the taps everywhere else, but not for the downstairs WC sink.

Is this normal?

Ffs Dan don't give him something else to 8itch about. Every trade he has had working on his house has had to endure "The man on the internet said". Blokes a fruitcake.

Depends on what comes with the tap, some come with flexi's some come with copper. He'll just use what's supplied.

If it wasn't for you men on the internet I would have thought this work below was good work.

So thank you @ajstoneservices and you other men on the internet - I am forever grateful to the help and education you have given me.

ps. cute dog

As stated, either system can be used - although some taps come with flexi hoses that go into the tap directly as you have to use those flexis.

I personally think copper is the 'gold standard' -although it is more work (although shouldn't be hard for a pro)

I'd be more concerned by the lazy plumber not wiping the flux residues off the pipework
