Certifying new bathroom

You've gone out of your way to be nasty there.

1. You really didn't need to say anything about EFLI being on your ignore list.

2. If you felt it would be quicker and easier to call a spark, why did you bother posting here?

I think the reason you did was because you wanted to feel a little power trip by writing a bitchy post. And to cap it all, you finished with a ":D".

Totally pathetic.

1. I think it is nasty to not reply to someone who has gone out of their way to write something, I had to remind him he was on my ignore list so he didn't waste his time posting, to be honest I am surprised he did not remember but oh well.

2. The quicker and easier post was made after the little help and replies I got so I came to the conclusion it would be easier to call an electrician.

No power trip just straight to the point, maybe you can remember this and not reply to me as you have been added to the list also :D:D

You got two emojis count yourself extra special.

I think I should put "Iamchamps" on my ignore list, I would have normally given advice as similar thing happened to me, however in view of comments I will not.

Please do. If I really needed help and thought no one would reply to me I either a. go to another forum or b. make a new account it is not hard to change identity on the internet.

If new electrical work is carried out in any of the bathroom zones 0,1 and 2. Then this becomes notifiable work, this requires more than a certificate. This requires building controls being contacted and that should really have been done prior to any electrical work being carried out. Depending on the extent of the electrical work, with addition to this you will either require a minor works cert or an electrical installation cert.
The electrical cert should be made out be the person installing the work, if they know what they are doing they should be able to do this. If they don't they should not really be installing at all. With regards to notification, if someone cannot self cert/notify then either you or the installer should have informed BC before work was started and a fee paid.

Surprised you have EFLI on ignore, in my experience only offers good sound advice.
To add the information EFLI did advice, was sound advice.

Thanks only person who really posted anything worth while reading.

He was ignored for a good reason I am very smart and offer good advice about stuff I know about however I bet many people have ignored me, it's more the attitude and tone rather than advice that gets people's backs up.

Doesn't matter - we can all laugh as he has to tear down his new bathroom and start from scratch again.

Behave worst case nothing happens and then if I ever sell the house it was fitted before I bought it and have no documentation. Many threads I have read on here of people doing similar.

A liar as well.
Oh, sorry... I forgot....
You put me on ignore.
:D:D:D

You get three!!!

That's not actually true. Had you not put him on your ignore list, you will have seen that EFLI gave you some advice worth reading.
He was ignored for a good reason ...
I would say that is a matter of opinion. I presume that your reason was that he responded with just two words. However, what he said was true. A different electrician "shouldn't" do what you suggested, since he/she could only do so by breaking the law. Maybe that's not what you wanted to hear, but it's true!

Kind Regards, John

He was ignored a long time ago, not for what he posted here.

This is why I replied to tell him not to waste time as I cannot see what is written just shows member name and that I am ignoring the content.

Oh, I see. In any event, whenever and for whatever reason you you put him on your ignore list, the result was that you missed on on some useful information and advice in this thread. Although his first response to you was, as I said, just two words, his subsequent post was more detailed.

Kind Regards, John

It will not be quick or easy unless it involves persons lying, breaking the law etc.
Given the type of people he employs to do things:

The fitter is an electrician but unable to certify for whatever reason didn't join or finish something which allows him to, so a family member certify's for him after doing checks and takes a payment for that.

I doubt he will care about things like that.

A liar as well.
