Will a cavity sock stop vermin / mice ?

Planning to use a cavity sock to stop the gap between the 2 leaves at wall plate height

Will this stop mice from getting into walls ? lots of the little blighters in this neck of the woods

How about topping it off with asbestolux tile

Closing the cavity is so 1950's. Nowadays, wall insulation should run continuous with the roof insulation.

This a conversion and walls are not insulated in the cavity. We are doing interior celotex

is there no fire regs thingy that is should be fire stopped ?

Strictly no.

Asbestolux is an asbestos board, but yes a substitute will do. Fire regs are not retrospective.
