Hi,

I have a back boiler and a Drayton LP522 timer. I removed the Drayton box and the wiring is attached. The wiring configuration is the same as the diagram of the hive. But there are no wires currently in Heating or Hot water off.

When I connect the Hive the heating part works. But the central heating doesn’t kick in. Can anyone help?

Do I not need a wire in number 2?

It seems like the heating is coming on when the heating and hot water are both switched on with the Hive. With or without the link wire. If the heating is on it’s own. Nothing happens

Can you confirm you hot water is gravity circulation and your central heating is pumped ?

Your programmer does suggest this but conformation is needed.

You need to set the hive into gravity mode which is explained in the installation manual.

Thanks for the response. I’ve changed it to gravity pump and the light is blue. I’ve turned on central heating and both lights have lit up. Is this correct?

Yes that is how it works in gravity mode, the same as your old clock did.
