Ive just moved into a house which has a British General dual RCD board. It looks fairly new. There are two non RCD protected slots which have RCBO’s installed. The previous owner left a diagram which shows the two RCBO’s as ‘ground floor lights’ and ‘ground floor sockets’. What would the reason be for these two ccts to be protected in this way?

I guess he was keen for these 2 circuits to be working even if there was a fault elsewhere causing the RCD to be off

An electrical reason would be faults anywhere else do not take out the ground floor lights or sockets - and vice versa.
Yeah, was there a school of thought at some point that both downstairs lights and sockets be be protected like this.i was concerned that there was a recurring fault on one of the ccts possibly causing nuisance trips. Not that that’s happened since I’ve moved in.

Ah ok. What are the possible causes?
Lots of computers and things like that.
