VW Polo 1975 throttle body, SPFI

Nissan Micra K11 Throttle body (who hasn't had one of those)
Mitsubishi ABS module, can't remember how old it was but it was a SWB and black
Ford Focus 07 Auto ECU, sent in by me but it was fine and the fault was elsewhere - and I still didn't find it so traded it on
A BMW bit on an old 3 series but can't recall what that was

Never used them but heard plenty of good things about them on some car forums that I frequent.

Don't follow my example, resist the temptation to buy stuff as mentioned above from breakers or whatever......stuff your money in the drain instead

BigRed for caliper seal kits, that is if the piston/bore isn't pitted/scored. Due to bite marks from vice grips on the piston, c/o of the previous owner, I had to get a new TRW brand rear caliper for one of the Bora TDIs we have.
I'm curious about BBA Reman for ABS pumps should one ever go faulty in the family fleet.

On the Mitsubishi I did (Don't know what model it was but it was SUV style 4x4) I knew the wheel sensors were working as I connected them up to a borrowed oscilloscope .....each one was producing an equal signal so logic said it had to be the ABS module. Happily it was!

ECU testing http://www.ecutesting.com/ do the same sort of thing and did an excellent job repairing a BMW ABS pump for me.
T5 Transporter ABS pumps do fail (usually electrically). They usually get sent back as beyond repair if you try that route. People are asking big money on Ebay for rusty old ones that I wouldn't touch with a barge pole! You can buy the electrical (ECU) section separately but it's still £500 ish from memory. They do need coding after fitting and if the vehicle has ESP (or probably anything except plain ASR) it will have a steering angle sensor which will also need re-calibrating. No big deal if you have access to diagnostics.
For anyone ever buying a VW ABS pump second hand, be careful to get exactly the right part number down to the last digit unless a VW dealer confirms that any difference is an updated part.

A bit late to this but I had a Volvo instrument cluster repaired by BBA Reman a couple of years ago after a heads up from John. I'm pleased to report that it is still functioning perfectly today.
