Hi Guys
I've moved into a new home which has the above boiler installed, I noticed the boiler was firing up a lot with the fan running constantly, it was also consuming about 150-200w of electricity...all of this was happening when there was no heating on or hot water being run.
So I had a read up on the Eco button and it looked like this would solve my issues, so I pressed the button and it went green showing it is now in Eco mode. That stopped the boiler firing up and down when not asked to but I'm still left with the fan spinning away and around 100w being in constant use.
Is there anyway to calm this boiler down it seems really hungry on electricity and any money saved with it being a efficient condensing boiler seems to be getting wasted with it being constantly half powered up.
Is this just how the boiler is designed as it seems crazy as it's costing me 2.4kw of electricity a day ( 40 pence ) even when I'm not using it.
