Perhaps you could explain, without a long irrelevant diatribe, what is meant by a child of mixed race if there are no races and if you can what do you call the differences in appearance and physiology between African people and Chinese people.

I have done what you asked several times over, you just keep asking, hoping for a different answer.
There is no such thing as a child of mixed-race, if you use the concept of race in its narrow definition as you and sodthisforfun do.
There is are children of mixed-race, using the socially constructed concept of race, which is synonymous with ethnicity.
So the more precise term ought to be mixed ethnicity.
But mixed race is a left over term from a bygone era. As is half-breed a leftover phrase from a bygone era.

The differences in appearances of people from different parts of the world, as I have already explained, is due to morphology, people morphing their characteristics in order to encourage or determine their survival. I used the characteristic of black skin before (had you forgotten?) which provides some protection from the sun. Weirdly enough, these people with dark skin happen to originate from the warmer climes. Who'd have thunk it?

Why don't you tell the government that their nomenclature on population census forms is incorrect. It asks people their ethnicity. It does not ask them what race.

These people seem to mean race, in the sense that a lot of people have used race for a long time because they've not mentioned ethnicity or whatever else you talk about.. Is that not a socially constructed concept?

And they are proud to be themselves (and so they should, as should everyone).
As there is no mention of it being used in the way you think is acceptable, so these people, you think that talking about being proud of their own race (as all race's should do), is incorrect and an inherently racist way to talk about themselves?
