Hi, my builder bought an Aumix branded pipe for underfloor heating, Aumix PEX-AL-PEX. See attached.

I can't find this company anywhere. Can I trust the product as it doesn't look like a well known brand. Normally manufacturers give 50 years guarantee but not sure about this one! Thanking you in advance.

Trademark is owned by this lot:

Small company, a few other bits on eBay which appear to all be re-branded Chinese taps.

Quality may or may not be dubious, it really depends on how much care they take with their suppliers / QC.

OK very good investigative work!!, if it says CE, ISO etc approved does it mean anything or they just put the letters on it anyway?! Thank you again.

That really depends on how much care they've taken with the supplier.

It's perfectly possible to get stuff manufactured in China with CE and ISO approvals etc. , but it's also equally possible (and sadly more common) for the standards to be ignored totally, but still printed on the package.

A phone number is available for them from Google (not posting here), and if genuine, they would be able to provide the CE / ISO certificates from their manufacturer if questioned. (Whether they'd do that for some random calling up is another kettle of fish entirely mind)

The pipe is a generic product, the name on the label is just a name. often looking on amazon will show up similar items showing the same advertising photographs with different names on the label but the origin is the same.

Maybe ask your installer the origin & warranty of the pipe, or ask for known named european pipe to be used. (y) hep2o would be my choice.

Hi, just picked up some of this pipe from a local plumbing supplier.
Did you use it? Were there any issues?
