Any Good?

Talked to one of the Johns a while back about a cordless doobrie. He said he had bought a Titan, one of the one I was considering.

Screwfix have discontinued these, so I wondered if anyone had one of these:

I've not owned one, but I've used other Titan and Macallister tools and they are not very good. Pay a bit more and get DeWalt or Makita.

Ive got a titan breaker, sds drill and chainsaw -all excellent tools.

The titan chainsaw replaced a makita and the Titan is a far better machine.

that said, Ive no idea whether cordless stuff like drills would be good or not, Ive always stuck with the main brands for them.

A few years back cheap brand cordless stuff was rubbish, but things have moved on. I bought a cheap cordless lawnmower, less than half price of a bosch, its now in its 3rd season and still working just as well.

All the big brand nanes for cordless drills are now made in china........

I have a heavy SDS Titan drill which I bought years ago for 35 quid. Used and abused it no end for channeling, breaking, coring, etc and it still works great.

While I also have a shed full of dewalt tools, I won't discount a brand based on hearsay.

In the case of the OP, it depends what you'd want to do with the drill. I doubt those 1.5a batteries will have much oomph, but if it's only light DIY use then it's a decent price.
