It's local election time on Thursday and the only flyer that I have had through the door is the Tory guy's. I wont vote for a Tory in a million years. Whilst Corbyn is in charge of the Labour Party they wont get my vote either. The only candidate that would get my vote, possibly, would be the pro Brexit candidate. As I don't know who that is, or even if there is one, I will not be voting.

I've had a labour flyer but it's someone new. The person who I voted for last in my ward has left labour and gone independent

Just out of interest...

In local elections who do you vote for?

A party representative?

And if so based on local or national issues?

The one I voted for last time, had done the same - swapped to becoming Independent, but is not standing this time around so I'm voting for his successor also an Independent. I think the move to independence is because Labour are making such a mess of things. Its a Labour controlled council, but used to be a Conservative voted very local area. Local MP is and has always been a Conservative and I voted Conservative last few times, but I have serious doubts about next time around who to vote for.

I thought Labour had a problem with their flyers and had to withdraw them at the last minute due to a change in policy regarding Brexit

New Policy flyers are coming " Hot off the press"

I hear Frogface's lot aren't going to issue a manifesto.

has anybody seen one?

his supporters will just vote in the expectation they'll get what they want, without anyone saying what it is. Like last time.

I didn't realise Diane Abbott was a man.

It's a LOCAL election, Pete.

Not an election for MEPs.

Not an EU membership referendum.

And Corbyn is not, I can say with confidence, standing for election as a Labour councillor in your ward.

Do try to keep up.

You sure

I got the first flyer through my door tonight, from our local Tory cllr. Complete with 4 spelling mistakes in just one short paragraph. Instills confidence that, not!

My vote will be based on Brexit

As will many other peoples vote. Local elections have often been seen as a marker for discontent with government.

In the grand scheme of things the majority of what councillors do is unlikely to have real noticeable impact on you anyway.
