Going by the reports, it seems plod is often more intent on gathering evidence to put the blame on an easy target rather than dealing with the real perpetrator...

Probably due to them fearing further problems that they will then have to deal with...

The burglar would still be alive if he hadn't go out to rob - simples!

I seem to recall the burglar was a career criminal along with his family.

After it happened the pensioner had to leave his home due to intimidation.

Correct.Family went round,laid tributes,locals threw them in bin etc etc..Some people have no shame.
