If you take the Tory Againsts away, and add them to For, then the deal would have passed by 320 to 310.

So why can't a Tory government get it's legislation through Parliament when it has a majority?

Well the majority party, when you include the votes it bought on this specific issue, is the Conservative and Unionist party.

The 'deal' unless i am mistaken is the one the EU has offered us? I don't think it's the other way round. I stand to be corrected.

Then be corrected - it is the deal which we negotiated with them. Remember all those trips that ministers and the PM took to Brussels?

But the point of my post is Labour are opposing anything the Tories are trying to do to move this forward. That is fundamentally wrong here.

But when those who do have the expertise look at the detail and find it so utterly horrific that they oppose it you aren't happy.
