Laminate flooring in hallway around staircase

Hello,

I am planning to lay down some laminate flooring in a hallway that has a wooden staircase going along one side. The problem is that the profile of the staircase is to small to put scotia on it so I am not sure how to deal with it. Would it be OK to lay the laminate flush with the stair case to avoid a visible gap being shown?

Wherever the laminate came from should do both profiles, or just google search end moulding and flat bead, there are loads that come up
